DevOps Engineer
The DevOps Engineer role is vital to the organisation, ensuring that development and release processes are world-class. - Direct the arrangement and management of the build infrastructure (Windows and Linux).
- Improve the reliability and performance of test and build processes.
- Build and maintain automated release channels.
- Proactively seek opportunities to automate the installation and maintenance of build tools and dependencies.
- Review and recommend solutions and tools to streamline the software development process.
- Own the process for releasing builds into QA and up to production.
- Serve as the bridge between Engineering (dev & QA) and IT Operations.
- Proficiency with AWS or other public cloud providers (required).
- Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux systems (required).
- Experience in monitoring and alerts (required).
- Skills in build and deployment automation (required).
- Familiarity with CI/CD toolkits such as Jenkins, Octopus, and secrets managers (required).
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash (required).
- Demonstrated history of applying continuous deployment (CD) up to production (required).
- Technical application support and problem-solving experience (required).
- Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies (nice-to-have).
- Experience with version control systems (nice-to-have).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes for container provisioning, orchestration, and clustering (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with AppDynamics for Application Performance Monitoring (APM) (nice-to-have).
- Experience in Python (nice-to-have).
