Product Designer

Description

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our team on a parental leave replacement basis. This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office). The role is focused on high-quality execution — translating product and design direction into clear, consistent, and polished user experiences across platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design polished mobile app (iOS & Android) and responsive web experiences based on direction from the Lead Designer
  • Build high-quality UI screens with strong attention to detail and clear visual hierarchy to support usability
  • Work with Figma (Auto Layout & variables) to build scalable, structured designs
  • Apply and maintain the Design System across web and mobile
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to deliver business requirements
  • Support micro-interactions and motion using Lottie animations
  • Explore and use AI tools to improve efficiency and workflows
Requirements
  • 1–2 years of experience in product / UI design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, problem-solving, and aesthetic skills
  • Solid knowledge of Figma, including Auto Layout and variables
  • Good understanding of design systems (components, tokens, consistency)
  • Experience designing for mobile apps and adaptable websites
  • Understanding of native vs. web UX patterns
  • Strong visual design skills (layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy)
  • Basic knowledge of Lottie / motion design
  • Ability to take mentorship and work according to product and business needs
  • High attention to detail and structured way of working
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Visual Communication, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or similar)

  • Experience working with developers (handoff, specs, constraints)
  • Familiarity with accessibility basics
  • Understanding of UX writing (clear, simple, user-focused text)
  • Experience in fast-paced product environments
  • Curiosity and willingness to explore AI tools to improve design workflows
