Senior Manager - EMEA Statutory Reporting & Compliance

As a key technical finance leader, you will play a critical role in maintaining robust governance, delivering high-quality statutory reporting, and ensuring alignment between group and local requirements. - Lead statutory financial reporting across EMEA entities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of local financial statements.
- Coordinate regional tax compliance in partnership with external advisors, ensuring timely submission of corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory returns.
- Provide technical accounting mentorship on complex transactions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Review and assess the accounting treatment of new or unusual transactions, detailing technical position papers where required.
- Partner with Regional Controllers to ensure alignment between group reporting and local statutory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate external audits across the region, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance with internal control frameworks and corporate policies.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across EMEA, assessing business impact.
- Foster consistency and continual advancement in statutory reporting and compliance workflows.
- Coordinate balance sheet integrity and ensure appropriate provisions, accruals, and disclosures are recorded.
- Support legal entity rationalisation, restructuring activities, and new entity set-ups within the region.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to local finance teams on statutory and technical matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience; professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- More than 5 years of established experience handling statutory reporting and tax compliance across a global organization.
- Strong technical accounting expertise with experience in IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Experience coordinating and managing external audits.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and collaborator management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
