Sr Security Engineer
The Senior Security Engineer is part of the Security Architecture & Engineering team in the Information Security division. This role drives Aristocrat’s security program by defining, deploying, and managing security controls & technology globally. In this role, you will work closely with Security Architecture, Security Operations, Product Security, Security governance, Global IT, and DevOps teams. This includes hands-on activities to help us scale, integrate, optimize, and automate security controls across the enterprise. You will also assist in coordinating security control activities for the company, including developing creative solutions to security challenges aimed at reducing risk. Reporting to the Security Engineering Manager, you will employ your proven expertise in the selection, deployment, management, and operations of Aristocrat’s enterprise security controls. Successful candidates will have a rich technical background in cybersecurity engineering and demonstrate skill in effectively defining & communicating technical and business risks to appropriate audiences. This role works alongside key collaborators and partners across Business Units to support security projects & objectives through a collaborative, risk based, approach.
- Drive the selection, testing, deployment, management, maintenance and operationalization of Aristocrat security controls.
- Strong expertise on Microsoft Purview DLP Configuration, Management & Monitoring.
- Apply expertise in cyber security engineering in support of programs, proposals, and corporate objectives.
- Partner with cybersecurity operations and for continuous control improvement activities.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and effective reporting of the status and usage of security controls on critical assets to, and for, executive level management.
- Develop Conceptual and Logical solutions supporting deployment of security controls in Aristocrat environments
- Consult and collaborate with stakeholders, asset owners, and IT teams to advance security initiatives across the enterprise
- Define and implement configuration of security controls for endpoints, cloud environments, DevSecOps, product security, and identity platforms.
- Provide domain expertise on cybersecurity strategies and areas of opportunity to optimize security controls.
- Know the latest emerging security trends, technologies, and threats and make recommendations to improve the Aristocrat’s security posture.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. (required)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on design, implementation, and management of security solutions. (required)
- Demonstrated experience in working with a geographically dispersed team. (required)
- Solid understanding and demonstrated experience working with Security Information Event Management (SIEM) platforms, data streaming platforms, network security, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems, Cloud Security, and Identity Access Management (IAM) principles. (required)
- Expert knowledge of information security technologies, networking, cloud, and infrastructure architecture in global capacity required. (required)
- Capacity to handle complex troubleshooting issues. (required)
- Proven ability to handle competing priorities and work effectively under pressure. (required)
- Ability to contribute to organizational strategic thinking beyond area of responsibility. (required)
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP or other relevant certifications preferred. (preferred)
- Excellent collaboration skills – must be eager to work as part of a cohesive team and work as a partner to other teams within Aristocrat, Inc., locally and globally (required)
