Senior Back-End Engineer, Sports Platform
As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and evolving our US Sports platform. We are building a team and trading platform to help us become a leader in the US sports gambling industry, replicating our strong foundation in Europe. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and success. Our N-Tier distributed systems process large volumes of data, especially during high-profile sporting events, where resilience and stability are crucial to delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will play an important role in shaping the success of our team. Beyond technical excellence, you will use your expertise to coach and onboard junior engineers, ensuring their smooth integration into our team through mentorship. Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders will help the team implement the architectural vision.
- Building systems that guarantee quality and reliability.
- Using pipelines and infrastructure as a service.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to support team members professional development.
- Utilising scalable solutions to meet global demand.
- Utilising concurrency through debugging and reserve engineering systems.
- Adopting innovative technologies like our various in-house AI offerings.
- Collaborating proactively with stakeholders and the team.
- Working on and solving complex problems.
- Previously worked on high throughput and low latency systems (required).
- Experience in coaching and mentoring in technical subject areas (required).
- Ability to prioritise people and conversations over process (required).
- Previously thrived in a fast-paced agile environment (required).
- An aptitude and enjoyment in learning new technologies (required).
- Commercial experience using GCP with Kubernetes (required).
- Experience in Microservices development, with Golang or Rust (required).
- Knowledge of React and Typescript (required).
- Experience in a delivery focused culture (required).
- Compensation: USD 125000 - USD 155000 - yearly.
