Senior Compliance Officer

Description

We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Officer to ensure our operations in Spain remain fully aligned with regulatory and legal requirements. If you have a strong legal background, proven experience in a regulated industry (ideally gaming), and a passion for navigating complex compliance challenges, this is the role for you. As a key member of our Compliance team, you’ll be working at the intersection of law, regulation, and business operations—collaborating with internal stakeholders and regulators to ensure full compliance and proactively managing regulatory risk.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards in the Spanish market by researching and communicating requirements, creating action plans and obtaining approvals from DGOJ or any other relevant regulatory body.
  • Support the Compliance Manager in guaranteeing that all Spanish regulatory requirements are met, ensuring effective delivery of regulatory compliance initiatives across the organisation.
  • Conduct regulatory research by reviewing updates from the regulator, the Spanish government, and other relevant sources.
  • Develop and support regulatory policies through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, incorporating future trends and real facts specific to the Spanish market.
  • Propose the strategic approach for Spanish regulatory compliance and align with company-wide regulatory compliance objectives.
  • Liaise with DGOJ, Spanish Police Authority, and other relevant bodies to promote the company's interests.
  • Perform risk assessments and internal audits with regards to legal and regulatory compliance requirements across operational, technical and support processes applicable to Spain.
  • Devise reports regarding Spanish regulatory requirements and action plans.
  • Prepare formal responses to questions and investigations conducted by Spanish official bodies.
  • Coordinate compliance audits conducted by DGOJ and other regulatory authorities.
  • Spread the compliance culture throughout the company by training and other means.
Requirements
  • Bachelor ́s degree in Law/ Political Sciences or related field; academic background in Law will be preferred (required).
  • Relevant experience of 3–7 years in gaming industry, with strong knowledge of the Spanish regulated market (required).
  • Proficiency in managing regulatory requirements and interfacing with regulators (required).
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment (required).
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities (required).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (required).
  • A tech-oriented mindset and passion for innovation in the industry are highly valued attributes (nice-to-have).
  • Fluency in English is required (required).
  • Business-oriented approach — able to assess risk in a business context and drive compliant outcomes rather than simply flagging issues (required).
Benefits
  • A buddy will support you with your onboarding (required).
  • Competitive pay & bonus scheme (required).
  • Family Support (required).
  • Hybrid way of working (required).
  • Private health insurance for you & your family (required).
  • Unlimited access to Udemy & continuous training (required).
