Lead of Tools (Jira) Administration
Are you GAME to JOIN US and be our new Lead of Tools (Jira) Administration? SoftConstruct is on a search for a new player to join our team. The ideal candidate need to have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, 6+ years of experience in IT administration, DevOps, or a similar role, at least 1 year of experience managing software development teams.
- Lead the design, implementation, and long-term strategy for all development, collaboration, and monitoring tools across the company.
- Administer and maintain highly complex and critical development, collaboration, and monitoring tools across the entire infrastructure.
- Architect and enforce robust configuration, high-availability, performance tuning, and advanced security policies for core tools (Jira, Confluence, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions).
- Proactively monitor system health, anticipate potential issues, and lead the implementation of major updates, patches, and strategic optimizations across the toolchain.
- Serve as the primary technical expert, collaborating deeply with Development, DevOps, and IT Security teams to define and implement enterprise-wide tool standards and security enhancements.
- Design, architect, and implement complex, cross-platform automation scripts and integrations to streamline end-to-end operational workflows.
- Establish and govern best practices for tool usage, configuration management, documentation, and change control procedures.
- Lead the evaluation, piloting, and recommendation of new enterprise-level tools or significant enhancements to improve overall productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and deliver advanced training, mentorship, and documentation to junior administrators and power users.
- Expert-level understanding of enterprise IT administration principles, software lifecycle management, and complex system integration/architecture.
- Extensive hands-on experience administering, customizing, and scaling enterprise-level issue-tracking (Jira, Redmine, etc.), documentation (Confluence, Notion, etc.), and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub Enterprise, etc.).
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing highly-available CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) at scale.
- Advanced scripting/programming expertise (Python, Go, or similar) for complex automation and tool integration development.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills for mission-critical systems.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects, manage high-priority tasks under pressure, and mentor team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical strategies to stakeholders and leading cross-functional coordination.
