Payments - DevOps Engineer
This role is for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes administration and managing Kafka infrastructure. You will be working in a crucial Betsson division, focused on creating the best payment customer experience in the iGaming industry. The team is building an industry-leading, scalable, multi-brand payment platform to support numerous online brands and payment integrations. The role involves working with cutting-edge technology to enable the company's Cloud Journey and managing infrastructure as code for the Core Platform Layer.
- Managing Infrastructure as Code for parts of our Core Platform Layer (Kubernetes Clusters, Message Broker backends, Infrastructure tooling).
- Providing a distributed runtime platform that ensures optimal performance of our business web applications, APIs and backend services.
- Building our Infrastructure Platforms as self-service to our developers and providing guidance and tooling for developers to self-manage their applications cross environments.
- Continuously improve and develop our platforms based on business needs.
- Analyse, diagnose and solve issues of efficiency performance and scale collaborating cross functional with colleagues from different teams.
- Required to be on an On-call support schedule.
- Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably with experience with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE. (required)
- Strong knowledge and experience of managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup, administration, and configuration of such service. (required)
- Managing Cloud Infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, with a good understanding of terraform modules and workflows. (required)
- Experience working with cloud providers, with AWS as preference, and strong knowledge with Cloud provider services such as EC2, ALBs, VPC, and EKS (required)
- Experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure (required)
- Experience in using versioned source control to manage code changes (required)
- Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana. (preferred)
- Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Powershell or similar (required)
- Experience in using and managing Linux distributions (required)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. (required)
- Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and DevOps principles. (preferred)
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. (required)
