Middle Legal Counsel
We're looking for a Middle Legal Counsel to join our team and become a trusted legal partner across Boosta's digital businesses. You’ll be the go-to counsel for day-to-day contracts, corporate housekeeping, product/policy work, and user/domain-related legal requests across Boosta’s digital businesses, including ed-tech, content platforms, affiliate, subscriptions, fintech, fitness and wellness apps, and other digital products. The job is practical, fast, and business-facing: write clearly, negotiate confidently, handle external complaints professionally, and turn ambiguity into workable guardrails.
- End-to-end contract support: intake/triage, drafting/redlining, negotiation, approvals, e-signature, repository/KPI upkeep.
- Maintain/improve templates, clause library, and playbooks; drive standard positions.
- Draft/update policies (ToU, Privacy/Cookie, Community, Moderation); coordinate rollouts with Product/Marketing/CS.
- Corporate support: entity maintenance, resolutions/minutes, officer changes, coordinate notaries/registrars.
- Coordinate IP matters (assignments/licensing, basic TM filings with agents, takedown workflows).
- Track/report legal KPIs and keep JIRA up to date.
- Deliver short trainings/FAQs for business teams; escalate complex issues timely.
- Manage inbound domain abuse cases (complaints from registrars, registries, and hosting providers; blocklist/RBL-type listings) to protect the company's domain portfolio; handle escalations such as UDRP proceedings.
- Build and maintain registration playbooks for new and complex ccTLD zones — eligibility, registrant requirements, restrictions, available registration options, and associated legal risk.
- Assess domain registration and identity-verification methods for legal admissibility and risk.
- Advise business teams on domain-related legal risk and feasible registration paths.
- 2–5 years in tech/digital business law (required).
- In-house or law firm experience (preferred).
- Domain-name practice (a plus): ccTLD eligibility & registration requirements, registrar/registry abuse processes, ICANN RAA & UDRP basics; able to assess registration and identity-verification methods for legal admissibility and risk (nice-to-have).
- Expert drafting/negotiation of MSAs, SOWs, SaaS/License, Affiliate/Advertising, NDAs, DPAs, SLAs (required).
- Corporate housekeeping across jurisdictions: incorporations, board minutes, share/register updates, KYC packs (required).
- Policy work: Terms of Use, Privacy/Cookie, Community/UGC, moderation and notice-and-takedown (required).
- Consumer/advertising compliance for online products (subscriptions/auto-renewal, refunds, promotions, claims) (required).
- Solid privacy knowledge (GDPR/UK GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA/CPRA), DPIAs, SCCs, DPA negotiations (required).
- IP basics (copyright/trademark, licensing) and UGC/DMCA workflows (required).
- Strong legal English (B2-C1); plain-language drafting (required).
- 28 business days of paid off.
- Flexible hours and the possibility to work remotely.
- Medical insurance and mental health care.
- Compensation for courses, trainings.
- English classes and speaking clubs.
- Internal library, educational events.
- Outstanding corporate parties, teambuildings.
