Data Support Team Lead

Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Support Team Lead to manage and develop a team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and reliability of data across our casino operations. This role combines hands-on technical expertise (especially in SQL) with leadership responsibilities, supporting business-critical systems and data workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Support Specialists.
  • Act as the main point of contact for data-related incidents, requests, and escalations.
  • Ensure high data quality and integrity across gaming, player, and financial datasets.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor data pipelines and resolve data discrepancies or failures.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Implement and improve data support processes, SLAs, and documentation.
  • Analyze recurring issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call rotation if required.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in data support / data operations / analytics.
  • 1+ year of experience in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (mandatory) – ability to write complex queries, joins, window functions, and optimize performance.
  • Experience working with large datasets and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server).
  • Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the casino, iGaming, or gaming industry is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
