Business Intelligence Analyst

Description

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving reporting and analytics solutions that support business decision making across the organisation. The role works closely with Business Intelligence Analyst Lead, Senior Business Analysts, Data Engineers and business stakeholders to deliver accurate, scalable, and user-friendly reports. The BI Analyst translates defined business requirements into dashboards, reports and analyses.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service reporting solutions primarily using Tableau.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, reporting views, calculations, and supporting reporting logic.
  • Validate reporting accuracy and ensure KPI logic is implemented correctly.
  • Apply dimensional modelling and reporting best practices in analytics solutions.
  • Ensure dashboards and reports are visually clear, user-friendly, and aligned with the best reporting practices.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing reporting solutions.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support operational and tactical business decision-making.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, incidents, and reporting issues.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst Lead and Senior Business Analysts to deliver reporting and analytics solutions based on defined business requirements.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding reporting functionality, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Provide support and guidance to end-users on reporting usage and available data sources.
  • Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and reporting logic.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve recurring reporting processes.
Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science, data science, economics, statistics, or a related field. (required)
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related field. (required)
  • Good knowledge of the iGaming industry including key operational business processes, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs). (required)
  • Strong SQL skills including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and reporting logic development. (required)
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using Tableau. (required)
  • Good understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling concepts. (required)
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts and reporting-oriented data structures. (required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. (required)
  • Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. (required)
  • Good understanding of business KPIs and reporting requirements. (required)
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. (required)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. (required)
  • Experience working in SCRUM or agile environments is considered a plus. (nice-to-have)
