Senior Business Analyst
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for aligning business strategy with analytics initiatives, leading stakeholder engagement, and defining solution approaches for complex business challenges. The role acts as the primary business partner within assigned domains, driving prioritisation, governance, process improvement, and the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, business roadmaps, and priorities, translating them into analytics initiatives and delivery roadmaps.
- Lead the definition and governance of business KPIs, metrics, data definitions, business glossaries, and reporting standards across the organisation.
- Own complex requirements discovery activities, ensuring alignment between business needs, analytical solutions, and strategic objectives.
- Lead business process transformation initiatives, including BPMN modelling, process optimisation, and operational improvement across multiple business domains.
- Develop conceptual solution designs, including business entities, data hierarchies, historical data requirements, source-to-target mappings, and reporting frameworks.
- Define high-level dimensional models, bus matrixes, and analytical data structures required to support reporting and business intelligence solutions.
- Produce and review report and dashboard mock-ups, ensuring alignment with business requirements, usability principles, and visualisation best practices.
- Provide guidance and challenge solution approaches proposed by BI Analysts and Data Engineers to ensure business objectives are met.
- Lead stakeholder communication, prioritisation, and business alignment activities across multiple initiatives and departments.
- Mentor Business Analysts and promote best practices in business analysis, process modelling, requirements management, and solution design.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science, data science, economics, statistics, or a related field. (required)
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related field. (required)
- Expert knowledge of the iGaming industry, including key business processes, operational metrics, regulatory requirements, and business challenges. (required)
- Proven ability to partner with stakeholders at all organisational levels, aligning analytics initiatives with business objectives, priorities, and strategic roadmaps. (required)
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, requirements management, process optimisation, and business process modelling using BPMN notation. (required)
- Experience defining and documenting business, reporting, and data requirements, including business rules, KPI frameworks, data definitions, reporting specifications, and solution requirements. (required)
- Strong understanding of business intelligence and analytics concepts, including KPI design, reporting frameworks, dashboard design, dimensional modelling, data warehousing, and Kimball methodologies. (required)
- Experience developing conceptual solution designs, including business entities, data hierarchies, source-to-target mappings, historical data requirements, and analytical data structures such as Bus Matrixes. (required)
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar, with emphasis on Tableau, and strong SQL knowledge with familiarity of database concepts and structures. (required)
- Understanding of data governance principles, including data ownership, stewardship, data quality, metadata management, and business glossary frameworks. (required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, challenge assumptions, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations. (required)
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. (required)
- Experience leading testing and validation activities, including test planning, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and solution sign-off processes. (required)
- Experience working in Agile development environments and cross-functional teams using SCRUM methodologies. (required)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, stakeholders, and competing priorities simultaneously. (required)
- Knowledge of the Hichert International Business Communication Standard (IBCS) and relevant professional certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, CCBA, AAC, or similar) are considered an advantage. (nice-to-have)
