AP Accountant
In this role, you'll support the day-to-day accounting operations of a group of international companies, helping to ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with IFRS and local regulations. Your work will span accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and financial reporting support, giving you exposure to a broad range of accounting processes within a global business. You'll join a collaborative Finance team that supports multiple entities across different jurisdictions and works closely together to maintain efficient financial operations.
- Participate in the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations for assigned areas.
- Process purchase invoices, employee expense claims, travel reports, and bank payments accurately and on time.
- Register and reconcile bank accounts and payment provider statements.
- Assist with monthly expense reviews and variance analysis.
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with IFRS and local accounting and VAT requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and other departments to support daily accounting operations and reporting needs.
- A completed or ongoing degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (required)
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong focus on accounts payable and transactional accounting. (required)
- Experience in an international environment is an advantage. (preferred)
- Good understanding of Estonian VAT requirements. (required)
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with accounting software. (required)
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work. (required)
- Able to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team. (required)
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment and managing multiple priorities. (required)
- Fluency in verbal and written communication in English is essential, as it's our primary means of interaction. (required)
- Estonian is considered a plus. (nice-to-have)
