Senior IT Network Engineer
The Senior IT Network Engineer role involves joining the Infrastructure team. The individual will be responsible for the design and implementation of scalable and resilient hybrid network architectures, ensuring secure connectivity between corporate data centres and cloud providers. The professional will be responsible for implementing advanced security policies, managing network security solutions, and developing automations using Infrastructure as Code approaches. Furthermore, the role requires supporting application deployment, creating scripts for NetDevOps integration, and managing complex incidents, acting as a technical escalation point.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance hybrid network architectures (On-Premises + Public Cloud).
- Manage secure and optimised connectivity between corporate data centres and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Implement advanced security policies (Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, NGFW) to protect the physical and virtual perimeter.
- Configure and manage network security solutions (advanced firewalling, IPsec/SSL VPN, WAF, DDoS protection).
- Develop automations using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Configuration Management (Ansible).
- Support application deployment: DNS automation, traffic management, service discovery, SDN.
- Create scripts and pipelines (Python, REST API) for automation and NetDevOps integration.
- Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, analysing end-to-end traffic and performance.
- Lead architectural decisions and define best practices, contributing to technical documentation.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure transformation projects.
- At least 5–7 years of experience as a Network Engineer in complex Enterprise environments (required).
- Proficiency in dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) (required).
- Experience with LAN/WAN/Data Centre architectures (Spine-Leaf, VXLAN, SD-WAN) (required).
- Skills in Load Balancers (e.g., F5, iRule, API) (required).
- Skills in Google Cloud (Shared VPC, Cloud Router, Interconnect, Load Balancing) (required).
- Experience with AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, Load Balancer, Network Firewall) (required).
- Experience with Network management and monitoring (Netflow, Jflow, On Prem and Cloud) (required).
- Configuration and management of Next-Generation Firewalls (Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point) (required).
- VPN technologies (IPsec Site-to-Site, SSL/TLS Client-to-Site) (required).
- Security in cloud environments (Security Groups, NSG, WAF, DDoS protection) (required).
- Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (required).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills in distributed and hybrid environments (required).
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications (nice-to-have).
- Cloud certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer, Google Cloud) (nice-to-have).
- Experience with advanced architectures (VXLAN, EVPN, Spine-Leaf) (nice-to-have).
