Group Business Analyst
The Group Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between regulatory requirements and product development. This position involves conducting detailed gap analyses to ensure software compliance across various jurisdictions while also managing client-specific feature requirements for custom development projects. The role requires close collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into functional specifications that drive the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct in-depth gap analysis between existing product capabilities and local/regional regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to stay updated on evolving regulatory frameworks in various jurisdictions.
- Identify and document regulatory gaps, impacted flows, systems, products, and required changes.
- Communicate regulatory gaps, open questions, assumptions, and dependencies to relevant teams.
- Support Product and Development teams in aligning product changes with confirmed regulatory expectations.
- Analyze and document client-specific feature requirements for custom development projects.
- Engage with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and clients, to ensure clear and feasible requirements.
- Identify impacted products, users, teams, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and edge cases.
- Work closely with UX/UI teams to translate business needs into functional design specifications.
- Define and prioritize requirements based on business value, feasibility, and impact.
- Support the development team throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure requirements are met.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in IT/software delivery (required).
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and its impact on software development (required).
- Experience in conducting gap analyses and defining system or feature requirements (required).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail (required).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (required).
- Proficiency in documentation and requirement gathering methodologies (e.g., use cases, user stories, process flows) (required).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders (required).
- UML experience (required).
- Proficiency in technical writing (required).
- Experience working with gaming operators or software providers in the iGaming industry (preferred).
- Knowledge of specific regulatory frameworks such as MGA, UKGC, or other regional gaming authorities (preferred).
- Basic technical awareness of APIs, data flows, system integrations, reporting, or source-of-truth concepts (required).
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or other requirement management platforms (required).
