Middle QA Engineer
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Middle QA Engineer to join our team in Lviv! This role involves designing, maintaining, and executing test cases for APIs, web, and mobile applications. You will perform functional, regression, and integration testing across services and applications, and work with API testing tools to validate endpoints, requests, and responses. You will also apply basic OOP concepts when writing or maintaining automated tests, and execute manual testing for web and mobile apps. Collaboration with developers to clarify requirements and reproduce issues is key, as is supporting the QA team in building automation coverage and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will also contribute to QA documentation.
- Design, maintain, and execute test cases for APIs, web, and mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across services and applications.
- Work with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar) to validate endpoints, requests, and responses.
- Apply basic OOP concepts when writing or maintaining automated tests.
- Execute manual testing for web and mobile apps (UI/UX, cross-browser, cross-platform).
- Participate in bug reporting, verification, and tracking in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
- Support the QA team in building automation coverage and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to QA documentation: test plans, test reports, and checklists.
- 3+ years of QA experience (required).
- Practical experience with API testing (REST, SOAP) (required).
- Knowledge of HTTP, JSON, XML, and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API keys) (required).
- Hands-on experience in web testing (desktop & responsive) and mobile app testing (iOS/Android) (required).
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#) (required).
- Understanding of basic OOP principles (inheritance, encapsulation, abstraction, polymorphism) (required).
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail) (required).
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team (required).
- Start with 22 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year, up to 32 days by your fifth year with us.
- 3 sick leave days per year, no doctor's note required; 30 medical leave days with medical allowance.
- Hybrid work schedule is available after the first three months of employment with 80/20 office/home format until the end of 2026. Starting from 2027, the policy will transition to primarily office-based work, with up to 10 work-from-home days per year with manager approval.
