Senior Java Developer
We are looking for a Java Developer with experience in building backend services using Java, Spring and modern engineering practices for our Sportsbook platform in OddsMatrix. You will contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of core OddsMatrix scalable services. Capture loosely defined requirements and expand them into complete solutions with your team and contribute to technical specifications. Review and provide feedback on features, technology stack and solutions design. Contribute to all stages of the development of the lifecycle.
- Take part in the full development lifecycle for supported products;
- Uphold a high standard of code quality (documentation, testing, code review, etc.);
- Work closely with stakeholders and other departments and ensure that our players get the best experience;
- Develop efficient services that will serve millions of requests/day.
- BS in Computer Science (or related field) (required)
- 7+ years of relevant software development experience with Java, Spring Boot (required)
- Professional experience using Java 12 or higher (required)
- Solid knowledge of data structures and OOP (required)
- Experience with high performance, low latency, multi-threaded systems (required)
- Strong knowledge of domain driven design and distributed architectures (required)
- Good understanding of design patterns and clean coding practices (required)
- Good knowledge of microservices architectures (required)
- Experience using message queues, preferred Kafka and RabbitMQ (preferred)
- Prior experience in writing tests (unit tests, integration tests) and support QA when needed (required)
- Experience using caching solutions (required)
- Good knowledge of OpenID Connect/ OpenAPI, experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs (required)
- Experience with NoSql and relational databases (required)
- Experience with applications profiling, tuning and optimizations (required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and prior experience in troubleshooting complex Production issues (required)
- Flexibility to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment (required)
- Self-starter, proven ability to learn new technologies and assess them in PoC environments (required)
- Strong English, written and verbal communication skills (required)
- iGaming domain knowledge (nice-to-have)
- Virtual Threads, Java RX, Spring Cloud, Domain driven design knowledge, Service Mesh solutions (nice-to-have)
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Gitlab (nice-to-have)
- Hands-on experience in configuring and using Kubernetes, familiarity with deploying and operating large-scale, highly available applications (nice-to-have)
