Description

We are looking for a ‘data hacker’ and virtuoso, fluent in SQL and Python, with an eye for anomalies and a mindset to understand how things work. We turn raw data into actionable decisions that improve our business security. Our team builds analytics, detection and predictive tools that make a real-world impact. If you love extracting and analyzing data, coding and seeing your effort restrict malicious activity, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities
  • Discover anomalies in application usage and access patterns using log (web/app) and financial data;
  • Create prototypes and implement production pipelines (batch & streaming);
  • Proactively research malicious activity cases to improve detection capabilities;
  • Analyze and provide data needed for security incident investigations;
  • Build actionable dashboards and reports to monitor security threats.
Requirements
  • Is able to deliver projects from conception to production and create monitoring solutions (required)
  • Is deeply curious, analytical and wanting to understand how things work (required)
  • Puts effort into understanding the problem before generating solutions (required)
  • Able to use AI assistance intelligently to increase productivity and quality (required)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in data engineering/data science (for senior role at least 5+ years) (required)
  • Strong Python (including PySpark) (required)
  • Advanced SQL (required)
  • Experience with distributed data systems (e.g., Spark) (required)
  • Familiarity with AWS (S3, EMR, Athena, Lambda) (required)
  • Experience with Kafka is a plus (preferred)
  • Comfortable with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (required)
  • Previous work with anomaly detection and clustering in a big data environment (preferred)
  • Ability to explain statistical concepts in simple words to stakeholders (preferred)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related fields (preferred)
  • Experience with Tableau or other BI tools (preferred)
