Consumer Insights Manager
FanDuel is seeking a Consumer Insights Manager to support the Sportsbook business unit, with a primary focus on partnering with the Go-To-Market (GTM) and VIP teams. This role will execute high-impact research initiatives that inform launch strategy, promotional effectiveness, customer demand, and high-value player engagement. The Manager will work closely with the Consumer Insights Senior Manager to ensure research priorities align to key Sportsbook objectives and that insights are translated into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Reporting to the Consumer Insights Senior Manager, this role requires strong business acumen, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence decision-making. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.
- Own end-to-end execution of strategic research initiatives supporting Sportsbook GTM and VIP priorities.
- Proactively identify insight opportunities tied to launch performance, promotional strategy, player segmentation, and high-value customer engagement.
- Translate business objectives into rigorous research designs, selecting appropriate methodologies across qualitative and quantitative approaches.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to GTM and VIP teams, providing ongoing consultation—not just project-based support.
- Synthesize findings across custom research, internal analytics, and syndicated data to deliver clear, commercially grounded recommendations.
- Develop executive-ready storytelling that drives alignment and informs go-to-market and retention strategies.
- Influence decision-making by framing trade-offs, risks, and customer implications.
- Manage external research vendors and budgets, ensuring high-quality deliverables and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of the broader Sportsbook learning agenda in partnership with senior insights leadership.
- Elevate the role of consumer insights within cross-functional forums by consistently advocating for a customer-first lens.
- Identify opportunities to improve research processes, methodologies, and stakeholder engagement models.
- 5–7 years of market research and/or consumer insights experience (required)
- Experience executing complex custom research projects from conceptualization through reporting (required)
- Experience partnering with marketing, commercial, lifecycle, or promotional teams (required)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize multiple data sources into clear business insights (required)
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills (required)
- Experience managing external research vendors (required)
- Proficiency in research platforms such as Qualtrics, SPSS, or similar tools (required)
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong data visualization capabilities (required)
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment (required)
- Interest in sports, gaming, or digital consumer businesses (required)
