Endpoint Platform Staff Engineer

Description

As an Endpoint Platform Staff Engineer, you are responsible for the design, implementation, and management of mobile device management solutions across a large-scale enterprise environment. You will ensure secure and efficient management of mobile devices, applications, and data across various platforms such as macOS, iOS, Android, Windows, etc. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize our mobile operations ensuring security policies, compliance standards, and performance are maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Define endpoint engineering principles, reference architectures, and reusable configuration patterns.
  • Establish secure-by-default device baselines across all platforms.
  • Implement GitOps-driven endpoint configuration management.
  • Build CI/CD validation pipelines for endpoint policies and configurations.
  • Develop API-based integrations across identity, asset management, security tooling, and compliance systems.
  • Architect zero-touch, globally scalable device provisioning.
  • Create self-service application delivery models.
  • Optimize device onboarding experience with measurable SLOs.
  • Define KPIs for provisioning speed, compliance drift, patch latency, and device trust posture.
  • Use telemetry and automation to continuously improve endpoint experience and security.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives such as managing projects across multiple departments in the organization.
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours support as needed.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience architecting, designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and enterprise MDM platforms (required).
  • Strong automation and platform engineering expertise (required).
  • Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, Python, and hands-on scripting (required).
  • Implementation with Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps, and configuration-as-code workflows in production using Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines (required).
  • Deep understanding of endpoint and mobile security ecosystems iOS, Android, macOS and Windows security frameworks (required).
  • MAM, MCM, and MTD solutions (required).
  • Encryption, VPN, Endpoint protection, and IAM (SAML, OAuth) (required).
  • Strong API integration experience across identity (e.g., Okta), IAM, and broader security systems (required).
  • Experience with data governance, privacy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, including defining, tracking, and improving measurable operational KPIs (required).
  • Experience with FleetDM for device management, security monitoring, and infrastructure visibility across macOS, Android iOS, Windows, and Linux endpoints (required).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills (required).
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers (required).
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives such as managing projects across multiple departments in the organization (required).
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced environments (required).
  • Participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours support as needed (required).
