Senior Product Designer / UX Researcher
As the Senior Product Designer / UX Researcher you will take a leadership role in our design team, driving design strategy, and mentoring junior designers. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting user research and using data to generate actionable insights. You will ensure that our products deliver exceptional user experiences, connecting design decisions to business outcomes and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Contribute to the development and execution of product strategy, ensuring that UX design aligns with the company’s strategic objectives and drives meaningful business outcomes.
- Take ownership of design outcomes, ensuring that products meet both user needs and business goals.
- Mentor and manage junior designers, helping them grow in their roles and deliver high-quality work.
- Foster a collaborative design culture, encouraging the sharing of best practices and continuous improvement.
- Lead user research efforts, including usability tests, focus groups, and surveys, to gather deep insights into user behaviour and needs.
- Ensure user feedback is effectively integrated into the design process, guiding design decisions and improving customer satisfaction.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the design system, ensuring it supports scalability and consistency across all digital products.
- Apply and innovate on existing design patterns to solve complex UX challenges, ensuring a superior user experience.
- Create advanced prototypes that accurately simulate user interactions, enabling thorough testing and validation of design concepts.
- Incorporate motion design principles to enhance user interactions, making interfaces more intuitive and engaging.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and senior leadership to ensure design solutions align with business objectives and technical constraints.
- Communicate the rationale behind design decisions clearly and effectively to all stakeholders, driving consensus and support.
- Utilise quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights that improve UX design and research processes.
- Plan and execute various research methods, including interviews, usability studies, and surveys, to uncover user problems, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct user research through methods such as usability tests, focus groups, and surveys to understand user engagement with our products.
- Use insights from user feedback to suggest design improvements that better address customer needs.
- Provide input into design solutions, ensuring they are user-friendly and leverage UX best practices.
- Work closely with the design team to define requirements and contribute to the development of intuitive design solutions.
- Analyse and communicate research results clearly, crafting reports that help teams understand user perspectives.
- Use storytelling techniques to create engaging presentations and reports that effectively convey research insights.
- 5+ years of experience in product design and research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design and successful product launches (required)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human–Computer Interaction, or a related field (required)
- Proven experience in leading design teams and managing stakeholder relationships (required)
- Deep understanding of design systems, patterns, and advanced prototyping techniques (required)
- Strong visual design skills with expertise in colour, typography, iconography, and layout (required)
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping software (required)
- Proficiency in research methods: interviews, usability studies, and surveys (required)
- Ability to utilise quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights (required)
