Senior F,P&A Analyst
The Senior FP&A Analyst is a key contributor within the Group FP&A function, supporting the development and delivery of high-quality management reporting and performance analysis across the organisation. The role focuses on producing accurate, insightful and forward-looking analysis that helps enhance the quality and usefulness of financial information. The role is primarily focused on Revenue and Cost of Sales analysis, supporting understanding of performance drivers, margin development and overall profitability at Group and Vertical level. Working closely with the current Senior FP&A Analyst and the wider finance team, the Senior FP&A Analyst will contribute to reporting improvements, analytical initiatives and continuous improvement activities. The Senior FP&A Analyst will support the implementation of analysis that incorporates trends, leading indicators and forward-looking insight. While the role will not lead formal budgeting or forecasting processes, it will contribute analytical input and performance insight through management reporting, scenario analysis and trend-based assessment.
- Prepare regular management reporting and performance analysis focused on Revenue, Cost of Sales and overall profitability.
- Support the development and enhancement of group-level reporting frameworks, metrics and analytical outputs.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of existing reporting, identifying opportunities to enhance insight, efficiency and forward-looking value.
- Provide input on feasibility and effort required for new analytical requests, supporting realistic scoping and prioritisation of FP&A work.
- Perform trend analysis and incorporate leading indicators into reporting outputs to support a more forward-looking view of performance.
- Analyse financial performance to identify trends, variances and areas requiring further investigation.
- Provide analytical support to Finance Business Partners and senior finance stakeholders through accurate data and reporting, liaising with other teams where support is required.
- Support continuous forecasting processes through analysis of performance trends, identification of leading indicators, and scenario-based assessment of future outcomes.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support reporting, scenario analysis and evaluation of revenue and margin initiatives.
- Support FP&A improvement initiatives, including enhancements to reporting processes, templates and systems.
- Ensure financial data and reporting outputs are accurate, consistent and aligned with agreed standards and timelines.
- Proactively identify and escalate data quality issues, working with the current Senior Systems Analyst and FP&A leadership to drive resolution rather than manual workaround.
- Use AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis, reporting, and process efficiency while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to data protection and ethical standards.
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business decisions, prioritising work that enhances FP&A's forward-looking capabilities and decision support mission.
- Experience in FP&A, management reporting, management accounting or a similar analytical finance role (required).
- Strong analytical capability, with experience in revenue, margin and profitability analysis (required).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial reporting or analytical tools (required).
- Solid understanding of financial statements, including P&L, B/S and C/F (required).
- Experience in using appropriate AI tools to enhance output and ways of working (required).
- Ability to analyse data critically and contribute forward-looking insight through trend analysis (required).
- High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data quality and accuracy (required).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills (required).
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines (required).
- Experience working in a group or multi-entity environment (nice-to-have).
- Exposure to performance analytics, revenue modelling or reporting improvement initiatives (nice-to-have).
- Experience using business intelligence or FP&A systems (e.g. Power BI or similar tools) (nice-to-have).
