Technical Operations Manager

If you have found yourself nodding to two solid Yes’s - Game Lounge is looking for a hands-on Technical Operations Manager to take ownership of internal IT operations, while staying close to modern DevOps practices and emerging AI-driven ways of working. This is a role for someone who likes to get involved, solve problems, and build better automation systems over time as the business continues to evolve from within. You’ll work closely with experienced technical teams across the business, contributing to a secure, efficient, and forward-thinking environment, while having the autonomy to make a real impact day to day.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage day-to-day internal IT operations across the business
  • Support infrastructure, devices, access, and employee onboarding/offboarding
  • Act as the go-to person for IT reliability, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and engineering teams on deployments, systems, and tooling
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and reduce manual work
  • Explore and introduce AI tools where they can genuinely improve efficiency
  • Support security and best practices in collaboration with wider technical teams
  • Work on technical projects that improve scalability, performance, and internal workflows
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
Requirements
  • Solid experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar hands-on role
  • Comfortable working across infrastructure, users, and systems - end-to-end
  • A natural problem-solver who takes ownership and follows things through
  • Curious about AI and automation, and how they can improve day-to-day work
  • Exposure to DevOps environments (CI/CD, cloud, automation - even at an initial, practical level)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across different teams
  • Fluent in English
  • Background in iGaming or digital environments (Nice to have)
  • Any exposure to scripting, infrastructure as code, or automation tools (Nice to have)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) (Nice to have)
  • Familiarity with security best practices or compliance environments (Nice to have)
