Finance Manager - Payables

Description

The Finance Manager – Payables is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and month-end processes across designated group entities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and effective cash flow management. The role maintains control over payables, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity, while supporting audit processes and contributing to continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls.

The role involves leading team members reporting to the Finance Manager and overseeing all processes within the entities to identify and implement the most effective and efficient methods across the group. Supporting management for any ad hoc reporting and other tasks is also a key part of the role.

Responsibilities
  • Involvement in the day-to-day and month-end record keeping of the financial transactions.
  • Cash flow management together with Treasury.
  • Control over bookkeeping of the companies within the group.
  • Oversee the documenting of the team processes and accounting policies/manuals to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Producing various reports in order to constantly monitor the company’s performance and cash flows - Payment Run’s.
  • Providing support when needed for the preparation of monthly budget and yearly forecast.
  • Support the Company’s financial operations ongoing needs - only if asked for.
  • Preparation of company audit deliverables for each entity entrusted to you for audit review and liaising with the external auditors.
  • Overseeing all processes within the entities mentioned above to see what process is the most effective and efficient and we try to apply them together to the rest of the entities.
  • Supporting the Management for any ad hoc reporting and other tasks.
  • Lead the team members reporting to you.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
  • ACCA / CPA / ACA part-qualified or actively pursuing (preferred).
  • 5+ years’ of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles (required).
  • Strong experience in month-end closing processes and general ledger management (required).
  • Experience managing intercompany transactions and multi-entity environments (required).
  • Experience preparing audit schedules and liaising with external auditors (required).
  • Experience in payables, bank reconciliations, accruals, and fixed asset accounting (required).
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members (required).
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end processes (required).
  • Solid knowledge of accruals, prepayments, CAPEX, depreciation, and revaluations (required).
  • Experience managing intercompany reconciliations (required).
  • Strong bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring capability (required).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Business Central or similar) (required).
  • Strong Excel skills (required).
  • Experience supporting audit processes and maintaining documentation (required).
  • Basic understanding of treasury coordination (required).
  • Ability to lead and develop finance team members (required).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (required).
  • High level of accountability and decision-making capability (required).
  • Risk-aware mindset with strong internal control focus (required).
