Systems Engineer III
The Systems Engineer III role involves designing and implementing system solutions across both cloud and on-premises environments. The position focuses on technical installations, deployments, and providing ongoing support to ensure the stability and performance of IGT systems. The role requires close collaboration with project management and global support teams to resolve technical issues and maintain high standards of service delivery.
This position is responsible for managing technical documentation, conducting post-implementation reviews, and facilitating knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers. The Systems Engineer III acts as a key technical point of contact during customer engagements, ensuring that all implementations align with project guidelines and solution architecture.
- Design and implement IGT's system solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Perform technical installations and deployments in accordance with project guidelines and solution architecture.
- Provide technical clarification and resolve implementation-related issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) throughout project execution and escalate any deviations from the approved solution design or project handbook.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and keep Salesforce (SF) records up to date.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify root causes and improvement opportunities following installation issues.
- Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers.
- Maintain and update the technical architecture library and implementation documentation.
- Support IGT system solutions during business hours and collaborate with the global support organization to resolve customer issues.
- Log, track, troubleshoot, and resolve customer support tickets within defined SLA response and resolution timelines.
- Ensure proper ticket follow-up, documentation, escalation, and time tracking within Salesforce.
- Provide implementation status updates, pending issue lists, and feedback to the Service Delivery Manager after customer engagements.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience (required).
- 5+ years of experience in a similar technical implementation, systems engineering, or infrastructure support role (required).
- Experience working with enterprise infrastructure, cloud technologies, and customer-facing implementations (required).
- Experience with ticketing systems (Salesforce preferred) (preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams (required).
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as required (required).
- Valid driver's license (required).
- Experience in several of the following technologies is preferred: Infrastructure VMware, Nutanix, Tanzu Kubernetes, AWS, Server Hardware, Operating Systems Linux, Windows Server / Windows OS, Networking Networking fundamentals, OPNSense, Load Balancers, Data Management SQL, Storage, Backup solutions (preferred).
