Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer
The Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory compliance and maintain high overall product quality. Interface with Game/OS Development and other Product Development staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. Also responsible for having proficient understanding of the software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality.
- Design and Execute Tests: Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for new features and existing requirements.
- Ensure Compliance: Verify that products meet technical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and Resolve Issues: Investigate and reproduce problems reported by users or external testing teams.
- Test Updates: Validate hardware and firmware updates from vendors to ensure stability.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.
- Improve Processes: Provide feedback and suggest improvements for better quality and efficiency.
- Report Progress: Prepare and deliver periodic project and testing status reports.
- Document Defects: Log detailed defects with reproduction steps, severity, and impact.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science (required)
- 0 or 1 year experience in Software Testing (required)
- Proficiency in software quality testing and assurance, with exceptional attention to detail (required)
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (required)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively document and convey information (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and data analysis (required)
- Working knowledge of Windows OS and Linux environments (required)
- Familiarity with programming languages, scripting, test management tools, and defect tracking tools (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse professional teams (required)
- Ability to promptly engage and adapt to evolving project requirements (required)
- Understanding of serial communication protocols (required)
- Knowledge of prompt engineering (nice-to-have)
- 5 days a week on-site required.
