Senior Game Animator

Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Senior Animator to join our game art team. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality animations for slot games, ensuring strong visual appeal, smooth gameplay experience, and consistency across projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on animation skills, good understanding of game art pipelines, and the ability to guide and support junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality 2D animations for symbols, features, UI elements, and game flows
  • Design engaging animations that enhance player experience and game feel
  • Ensure animations are optimised for performance and work smoothly within the game engine
  • Take ownership of animation tasks from concept to final delivery
  • Identify and resolve issues related to rigging, timing, file size, or performance
  • Maintain consistency in animation style across all assets
  • Work closely with designers, developers, and artists
  • Guide and mentor junior team members
  • Maintain proper documentation and communication
Requirements
  • Strong experience in 2D animation for games (Spine preferred) (required)
  • Good understanding of animation principles (required)
  • Strong skills in Spine, After Effects, and Photoshop (required)
  • Understanding of game art pipelines and optimisation techniques (required)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in game animation (preferably slot / iGaming) (required)
  • Strong portfolio showing high-quality work (required)
  • Experience in slot game animations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of VFX or particle animation (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of game engine integration (nice-to-have)
  • Ownership mindset for animation quality (required)
  • Ability to mentor and support team members (required)
  • Strong attention to detail (required)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision (required)
