Brazilian Accounting & AR Specialist
Description
North Star Network is looking for a Brazilian Accounting & Accounts Receivable Specialist to support and manage the finance operations of our Brazilian activities. In this role, you will be responsible for invoicing, accounts receivable, cash management, and coordinating with our external accounting partners to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance. You will serve as the local finance point of contact, working closely with internal teams, operators, and external stakeholders to maintain efficient and accurate processes.
Responsibilities
- Collect and validate monthly billing data from affiliate platforms and internal reporting.
- Prepare and issue Nota Fiscal (NF) invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with operators and internal stakeholders to resolve billing questions and exceptions.
- Monitor customer payments and outstanding balances.
- Follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile collections with bank transactions and maintain visibility on cash inflows.
- Act as the main liaison with the external accounting firm.
- Support monthly closings by ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Monitor tax filings, tax payments, and compliance deadlines.
- Manage invoice corrections, reissuance, and other administrative adjustments.
- Identify opportunities to improve invoicing, collection, and reporting processes.
- Serve as the local finance point of contact.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, accounts receivable, or fiscal administration in Brazil, ideally in a digital business (required)
- Strong knowledge of Nota Fiscal processes and Brazilian tax regulations (required)
- Experience with accounts receivable management and bank reconciliations (required)
- Ability to work with clients and external accounting firms (required)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail (required)
- Proactive mindset with the ability to improve processes and solve operational issues (required)
- Comfortable working in an international and remote environment (required)
- Fluent Portuguese and professional English are required (required)
