RTR Accounting Manager
The R2R Accounting Manager will lead close governance, balance sheet integrity and reporting quality across a complex international group. This senior role will oversee team outputs, deliver accurate US GAAP group reporting, support local statutory reporting and help build a modern, controlled and technology-enabled Record-to-Report function.
- Lead the R2R close across 25 entities and 15 jurisdictions, ensuring timely, accurate and controlled month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting.
- Maintain close governance, including calendars, ownership, review checkpoints, issue escalation and deadline discipline.
- Review journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany, FX revaluation, GL close deliverables and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Deliver US GAAP group reporting and support statutory reporting, with IFRS and Greek GAAP knowledge beneficial.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of 3 finance professionals, building capability, accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Review team outputs, provide clear feedback and ensure submissions to Group Finance are accurate, complete and well evidenced.
- Allocate workload effectively across close, reconciliations and reporting activities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Embed SOX and internal control requirements across R2R, including evidence, approvals, review controls and remediation of gaps.
- Support external audits with accurate reconciliations, schedules, explanations and documentation.
- Champion Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, FloQast and related close tools across the R2R process.
- Improve chart of accounts, general ledger, ledger close, reconciliations and reporting workflows.
- Use Power BI, advanced Excel, Power Automate and AI tools such as Copilot and Claude to improve analytics, review quality and productivity.
- Act as the key R2R contact between Athens and Finance in London, ensuring clear communication and strong working relationships.
- Provide insight on monthly performance, balance sheet movements, close risks and key accounting matters.
- Partner with tax, treasury, AP/AR and FP&A while maintaining clear R2R ownership boundaries.
- Qualified accountant or equivalent qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA (required).
- Strong R2R, controllership or GL experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional business (required).
- Experience managing junior finance staff and leading close processes under tight deadlines (required).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls and audit processes (required).
- Excellent review, communication and stakeholder management skills (required).
- Fluent written and spoken English (required).
- Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, FloQast, Avalara, Excel and Power Automate (preferred).
- AI-native working style, including practical use of Copilot and Claude (preferred).
- IFRS and Greek GAAP knowledge for local statutory account support (preferred).
- Technology, gaming, SaaS, high-growth or international shared-service environment experience (preferred).
