2D Illustrator
Description
We are looking for a talented 2D Illustrator to join our team. This role is responsible for creating storyboards and visual concepts for various content, including advertising videos, social media content, and branded content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and cinematic thinking, with the ability to translate creative briefs into clear visual solutions. You will collaborate closely with motion designers and other production team members throughout the pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Create storyboards and visual concepts for advertising videos, social media content, promo and branded content.
- Develop clear visual storytelling through scenes, sequences, framing, and composition.
- Translate creative briefs, scripts, and ideas into understandable storyboard narratives.
- Build scenarios and scene progression that support motion and storytelling flow.
- Collaborate closely with motion designers, 3D motion designers, and throughout the production pipeline.
- Prepare scenes, visual references, and assets for further animation production.
- Contribute ideas during concept development and creative discussions.
- Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and visual direction across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating storyboards for commercial, promo, or social media content.
- Strong understanding of composition, framing, scene dynamics, cinematic thinking, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to think in scenes and sequences rather than standalone illustrations.
- Understanding of how to build a scenario and visualize narrative flow.
- Ability to quickly visualize ideas and translate briefs into clear storyboard solutions.
- Strong sketching and drawing skills.
- Understanding of the motion production pipeline and collaboration workflows.
- Experience working with AI tools such as: Midjourney, Runway, Firefly, ChatGPT, Freepik, or other generative AI tools.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with structured workflows and deadlines.
- Experience working in animation studios/production studios/creative agencies.
- Awareness of modern advertising, motion, CGI, and short-form content trends.
- Experience working with multiple brands and adapting to different visual styles.
- Strong visual communication skills.
- Creative thinking combined with production mindset.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
