Email Deliverability Specialist
The Email Deliverability Specialist will be responsible for ensuring consistent inbox placement and maintaining optimal email sending reputation across key geographies. This role involves managing and scaling domain and IP infrastructure, monitoring performance across major mailbox providers, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to volume growth and sending strategy. The specialist will work closely with the CRM team to align sending strategies with long-term reputation goals and prepare infrastructure for future scaling.
- Ensure consistent inbox placement (Inbox / Promotions) across key GEOs
- Maintain Gmail spam rate at or below 0.1-0.2%
- Keep complaint rate at or below 0.15%
- Maintain hard bounce rate below 2%
- Ensure domain reputation stays at Medium or higher, with a target of High
- Prevent mass domain/IP burn incidents and protect long-term sending capacity
- Monitor performance across major mailbox providers and take corrective action when needed
- Manage blacklist monitoring and delisting processes
- Build and manage scalable domain and IP infrastructure to support business needs
- Launch new sending infrastructure for new GEOs in a structured and predictable way
- Warm up the required number of domains and IPs to support planned volumes
- Ensure 100% correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration across all sending domains
- Monitor infrastructure health daily and react to reputation drops within 12-24 hours
- Develop and maintain clear incident response protocols for deliverability issues
- Introduce and maintain regular reputation reporting (weekly)
- Proactively identify risks related to volume growth and segmentation strategy
- Work closely with the CRM team to align sending strategy with long-term reputation goals
- Prepare infrastructure for future scaling as sending volume increases
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in email deliverability
- Proven experience working with high-volume sending (3-5m+ emails per month)
- Experience building and managing domain and IP infrastructure
- Practical experience with Google Postmaster Tools and other postmaster platforms (Mail.ru, Microsoft SNDS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of how major mailbox providers work, especially Gmail
- Experience warming up domains and dedicated IPs
- Experience setting up and auditing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
- Understanding of SMTP basics and ability to read email headers for troubleshooting
- Experience working with blacklists and handling delisting processes
- Experience in iGaming, fintech, or other high-risk industries
- Experience working with multiple ESPs or a custom/in-house ESP
- Experience scaling email infrastructure as sending volume grows
- Understanding of engagement-based sending and how segmentation impacts deliverability
