Proofreader & Content Reviewer
Description
We are looking for a Proofreader & Content Reviewer to join our team. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of various marketing materials. You will work closely with different departments to maintain high content standards and contribute to the overall quality of our communications.
Responsibilities
- Proofreading, fact-checking, and editing of sports marketing materials in Russian (email newsletters, landing pages, social media posts, push notifications, pop-ups, product copy, and interfaces).
- Ensuring all materials comply with the legal requirements and licensing restrictions of Kazakhstan.
- Monitoring all texts for strict adherence to the brand’s Tone of Voice, current editorial policy, and glossaries.
- Close collaboration with copywriters, Project Managers, CRM, and Retention departments to clarify brief requirements and polish content to perfection.
- Overseeing the localization of texts into the Kazakh language.
- Reconciling final text iterations to avoid semantic discrepancies after edits.
Requirements
- Fluent and proficient command of the Russian language.
- Work experience in Gambling as an editor, proofreader, content manager, or copywriter.
- A true "eagle eye": attention to detail, logic, and facts. You notice absolutely everything and miss nothing.
- Ability to juggle tasks in the dynamic iGaming environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to build a dialogue with various departments, provide "eco-friendly" (constructive) feedback to authors, and accept feedback professionally yourself.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and spreadsheets.
- English language proficiency at a B1 level.
- Experience working with Betting content (sports betting).
- Excellent niche knowledge: understanding the mechanics and rules of major sports, ability to read betting lines and odds, knowledge of bet types (handicaps, totals, parlays), and staying up-to-date with current sporting events/tournaments.
- Knowledge of the Kazakh language.
- Experience using AI tools to improve and accelerate workflows.
