Team Leader (GO)
This role is for a Team Leader (GO) based in Cyprus or Poland, with the option to work remotely. The position involves technical and people leadership, focusing on making key architectural decisions, managing technical debt, and fostering a high-performance culture within a team of 4 developers. The Team Leader will be responsible for building the recruitment pipeline, conducting technical interviews, and ensuring new hires are smoothly integrated into the team's processes. Additionally, they will ensure consistent delivery of high-quality features, optimize the software development lifecycle, and identify and resolve system-wide bottlenecks in high-load components. Collaboration with business teams to define technical requirements is also a key aspect of the role.
- Making key architectural decisions, managing technical debt, and fostering a high-performance culture within a team of 4 developers.
- Building the recruitment pipeline, conducting technical interviews, and ensuring a smooth integration of new hires into the team's processes.
- Ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality features while optimizing the SDLC.
- Identifying and resolving system-wide bottlenecks in high-load components.
- Collaborating closely with business teams to define technical requirements.
- 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams (including Seniors), with a total of 5+ years in software development. (required)
- Deep understanding of distributed systems trade-offs and the ability to design resilient, evolvable microservice architectures. (required)
- Expert-level knowledge of Go (internals, concurrency, profiling) and PostgreSQL (complex optimization and indexing). (required)
- Confident command of architectural patterns and principles for maintaining consistency and availability in a distributed environment. (required)
- Proficiency in container orchestration with Kubernetes and building robust CI/CD pipelines. (required)
- Ability to translate business goals into a technical roadmap and manage the full delivery cycle. (required)
- Strong mentorship skills with a focus on coaching Senior and Middle developers and conducting effective code reviews. (required)
- Balancing "perfect" technical solutions with business priorities and time-to-market. (required)
- Ability to identify talent, assess cultural fit, and build a cohesive, high-performing engineering team. (required)
