Software Engineer
Playtech's Information Management System unit is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
The role involves developing software solutions and introducing new technologies within IMS.
This includes designing, building, testing, and debugging reliable, high-quality software. The engineer will contribute to a strong automated testing culture and ensure code quality.
Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining development documentation while helping improve team processes. Collaboration with the team, participation in retrospectives, and taking ownership of work are key aspects of the role.
- Develop software solutions and introduce new technologies within IMS.
- Design, build, test, and debug reliable, high-quality software.
- Contribute to a strong automated testing culture and ensure code quality.
- Create and maintain development documentation while helping improve team processes.
- Collaborate actively with your team, participate in retrospectives, and take ownership of your work.
- Have 3+ years of professional experience with Java in a commercial environment (required)
- Have a solid understanding of core Java concepts and good theoretical fundamentals (required)
- Have experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle) (required)
- Are comfortable writing clean, maintainable, and testable code (required)
- Are a team player who can collaborate effectively, while also taking ownership of assigned areas (required)
- Are curious, proactive, and open to learning new technologies and approaches (required)
