Financial Accountant

We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Financial Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. This role includes responsibility for areas such as the general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, and the month-end close process. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate, timely financial information that supports the business. - Oversee daily accounting operations
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations, proactively resolving discrepancies
- Monitor and deliver the monthly close process in line with the group’s reporting timelines and prepare management accounts
- Manage quarterly VAT returns
- Prepare statutory financial statements
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated reports
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Liaise with our tax representatives for certain tax-related matters
- Take ownership of ad hoc financial tasks and projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a hands-on approach
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., leadership, operations) and external parties (e.g., auditors, advisors, banks, suppliers), ensuring clear and timely information flow
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Able to prepare and present clear, accurate, and reliable financial information and reports
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under tight reporting deadlines
- Proactive, independent, and hands-on, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset
