Senior/Team Lead SEO Specialist
VBET, as part of the global SoftConstruct ecosystem, is participating in the recruitment process to search for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Senior/ Team Lead SEO Specialist for a new project — launch of an iGaming Full-Service Agency (in-house). This is not a "one client - one SEO" position. This is a role for someone who can simultaneously drive multiple diverse projects — ranging from a young affiliate site to a massive operator with a multilingual platform — while successfully building a team around these tasks.
- Simultaneously manage 4–8 diverse projects, each with its own tailored strategy and timeline.
- Formulate comprehensive SEO strategies at project launch, including technical audits, semantic core development, competitor analysis, growth priorities, KPIs, and milestones.
- Regularly iterate and update strategies based on performance metrics, identifying what drives results and pivoting tactics accordingly.
- Deliver clear, high-impact reporting for clients and senior leadership covering traffic, keyword rankings, link profile growth, and technical tasks — ensuring all insights are concise and data-driven.
- Allocate and prioritize tasks across content, link-building, and technical SEO specialists, balancing project milestones with team capacity.
- Establish repeatable internal frameworks, including standardized strategy templates, audit guidelines, and comprehensive onboarding checklists for new projects.
- Foster team growth and development by identifying skills gaps, transferring expertise, and assigning tasks aligned with individual competency levels.
- Conduct hands-on technical audits, directly managing crawling, site speed, rendering, and architecture optimization without reliance on intermediaries.
- Build semantic cores and content plans for targeted GEOs, factoring in local regulatory environments and restrictions.
- Oversee the link-building lifecycle: set objectives, enforce strict quality control for referring domains, and monitor backlink profile dynamics.
- Monitor Google algorithm updates, evaluating their potential impact on active projects and swiftly adapting tactical approaches.
- Contribute to the evolution of the agency’s product offerings, defining service structures, packaging value, and refining pricing/evaluation models.
- Help build and optimize internal infrastructure, including tooling selection, operational templates, knowledge bases, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide actionable feedback to leadership on operational bottlenecks, highlighting inefficiencies and identifying resource gaps.
- Act as an internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) as the team scales, troubleshooting complex edge cases and mentoring junior specialists.
- 3–5+ years in SEO , with at least 2 years strictly within an agency environment managing tight deadlines and competing priorities (required).
- At least one active/recent project in the casino, sportsbook, or affiliate vertical (required).
- Proven experience simultaneously managing 4-8 complex projects of varying types (operators, white-labels, affiliates) (required).
- Hands-on experience allocating tasks and quality-controlling execution teams (content, links, developers) (required).
- Fluent English, Ukrainian/Russian languages (required).
- Experience in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring junior SEO specialists (preferred).
- Direct background in managing Tier 1 markets and navigating their specific regulatory restrictions (preferred).
- Understanding of agency economics (client ROI tracking and project P&L structures) (preferred).
- Mastery of crawlability, JS rendering, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, and hreflang (required).
- High-level expertise in semantics, clustering, competitor analysis, and localization for international setups (required).
- Deep knowledge of outreach, niche edits, and PBNs; expert in backlink profile evaluation and quality control (required).
- Advanced proficiency in Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush to drive data-backed decisions (required).
- Proficiency in Jira, Notion, Asana, or equivalents, with a track record of designing team workflows (required).
- Strong communication skills for delivering concise, data-driven, and fluff-free progress reports to clients and leadership (required).
- Deep understanding of casino/sportsbook dynamics, affiliate networks, key industry players, and specific SERP features (required).
- Ability to build tailored SEO strategies from scratch depending on the asset type (e.g., brand-new domain vs. authoritative operator) and specific GEO constraints, budgets, and timelines (required).
- Solid grasp of how Tier 1/2/3 local gambling licenses, bonus mechanics, and advertising restrictions alter an SEO strategy (required).
