Description

The S1 Legal & Administration Line functions as the backbone support system for corporate security, legal affairs, government affairs, administrative affairs, procurement, infrastructure, and corporate social responsibility.

Providing legal advice and support in a wide range of international (ex-China) employment matters including:

advising on employment legal and regulatory matters, with opportunities to branch out to cover other areas within the overseas legal center, if interested;

providing legal insight from an employment regulatory perspective to help the company identify and evaluate risks associated with new or complex business activities;

managing the company's compliance with applicable labor laws by coordinating with relevant internal departments and business units and liaising with external counsel.

Responsibilities
  • Advising on employment legal and regulatory matters, with opportunities to branch out to cover other areas within the overseas legal center, if interested
  • Providing legal insight from an employment regulatory perspective to help the company identify and evaluate risks associated with new or complex business activities
  • Managing the company's compliance with applicable labor laws by coordinating with relevant internal departments and business units and liaising with external counsel
Requirements
  • At least 5 years PQE (qualified in Hong Kong, Singapore, US, UK or other comparable common law jurisdiction)
  • Employment legal experience in-house or in law firms
  • Prior regional experience working on related matters in the technology field will be a plus
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • Proactive approach and able to handle matters independently
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate within a team
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and proficient command of Chinese in order to communicate with various stakeholders in headquarters
