Controls Testing Manager - Technology - 6m FTC

Description

Here at evoke plc we're seeking an experienced Technology Controls Testing Manager to support delivery of the Group's UK Corporate Governance Code Provision 29 programme. Based in Leeds or London, you'll be responsible for independently assessing the design and operating effectiveness of material technology controls that support the resilience, security, availability and integrity of the Group's critical technology services. The role requires the ability to independently execute testing, identify control deficiencies, document findings, agree remediation plans with control owners and support management's year-end assessment of control effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Execute Design Effectiveness (DE) and Operating Effectiveness (OE) testing of material technology controls.
  • Conduct walkthroughs with Technology, Information Security and operational teams to understand control design and operation.
  • Test controls relating to: Technology service availability and operational resilience
  • Test controls relating to Incident management and response processes
  • Test controls relating to Cyber security monitoring and threat detection
  • Test controls relating to Access management and privileged access controls
  • Test controls relating to Infrastructure and network security
  • Test controls relating to Technology governance and oversight activities
  • Evaluate the adequacy of control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Identify control deficiencies, root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Produce clear testing documentation, findings and recommendations.
  • Agree remediation actions with control owners and track delivery to completion.
  • Support reporting of testing outcomes, deficiencies and remediation progress.
Requirements
  • Experience in ITGC, ITAC and system-reliance control testing (required).
  • Experience testing controls within complex technology environments (required).
  • Ability to independently perform walkthroughs, DE testing and OE testing (required).
  • Experience producing high-quality testing documentation and assurance reports (required).
