AML Officer

Description

The AML Officer will be responsible for assisting in the company's AML procedures with the main focus on the Source of Wealth and Source of Funds processes, together with reviewing customers and suggesting the best approach going forward. The chosen candidate will report directly to the jurisdictional Senior AML Officer.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out investigations and background checks to ascertain customers' source of wealth.
  • Reviewing customer documents relating to Source of Wealth / Source of Funds.
  • Helping the company to maintain compliance with AML regulations.
  • Suggesting appropriate product enhancements.
  • Serving as the escalation point for AML related inquiries and perform investigations.
  • Assisting in improving Source of Wealth and Source of Funds processes.
  • Helping manage the company's AML training programme.
  • Carrying out tasks and improve processes/procedures relating to anti-money laundering.
  • Reporting of Suspicious Activity Reports.
  • Assisting with the management of AML tools and service providers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 1 years' experience in a similar AML related position, ideally within the iGaming industry or at least 2 years' experience in a Fraud analyst position within the iGaming industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of KYC and AML procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English, other European languages a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply knowledge using the broader perspective of the overall business environment.
  • Effective oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills in the English language.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and comfort making decisions independently.
  • An accomplished problem solver.
  • Pro-active in highlighting system and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work effectively across numerous internal departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A good understanding of gaming regulations under different jurisdictions.
  • Previous experience working with the Ontario regulated gaming market, will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, will be considered an asset.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, will be considered an asset.
