Join us at evoke plc, as a Team Lead Solution Architect! Here you'll lead a team of Solution Architects across multiple domains, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and robust solutions aligned to business needs. You'll combine technical leadership, people leadership, and hands-on architectural guidance, acting as a “player-coach” to your team. You'll be accountable for solution quality, consistency, and execution across your domains, while supporting strategic direction set by senior architecture leadership. This role is critical in bridging architecture strategy and delivery execution, ensuring that solutions are not only well-designed but also successfully implemented.

Responsibilities
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 4–6 Solution Architects across multiple domains, setting clear expectations, goals, and standards for architectural excellence.
  • You'll foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Driving consistency in ways of working, tools, and architectural practices
  • Overseeing the end-to-end solution architecture across 3–6 domains and ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives and delivered to a high standard.
  • You'll support and guide architects in defining; Solution designs, System interactions, Non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security)
  • Acting as escalation point for complex architectural challenges and providing deep technical input where needed
  • Ensuring adherence to architectural standards, principles, and best practices whilst reviewing and approve solution designs where required.
  • You'll drive consistency and reuse across domains
  • Identify and managing technical debt, and trade-offs whilst supporting governance processes and ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and compliant
  • Working closely with engineering teams, product managers, and delivery leads, translating business needs into clear architectural direction, communicating solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, alongside building excellent working relationships across mid-level stakeholders
  • Support Lead Architects / Head of Architecture in executing technology strategy and roadmaps, whilst contributing domain-level insights to inform strategic decisions and ensuring alignment between long-term architecture vision and short-term delivery
  • Remaining technically engaged, contributing to solution design for complex or critical initiatives, leading key design workshops and architecture discussions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect in high-scale, complex environments with experience leading or mentoring architects or senior engineers (required).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience designing scalable, high-performance, distributed systems (required).
  • Expert understanding of Cloud platforms (preferably AWS), microservices and event-driven architectures, APIs, integrations, and data flows (required).
  • Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams and ability to balance technical depth with leadership responsibilities (required).
