Product Owner - Player Account

Description

The Product Owner – Player Account will play an integral role in the Product delivery lifecycle at BOYLE Sports. You will own the Player Account product backlog and support delivery of product outcomes defined by the Product Management team, ensuring work is well defined, prioritised, and ready for delivery by engineering teams. You will work closely with the wider Product Management team to define, document, and prioritise business requirements, supporting delivery of the Player Account roadmap and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Working with Player Account Product Managers, and UX team to define the customer experience and product specifications for player account features and requirements.
  • Prepare user stories and requirements with detailed acceptance criteria for development teams, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained.
  • Perform gap analysis on new requirements to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Own and manage the Player Account product backlog, ensuring development teams have clear, prioritised, and well-defined work to support delivery timelines.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for development teams during development and testing phases, facilitating clarification of backlog items and requirements, and escalating prioritisation changes to Product Management where required.
  • Support backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions in collaboration with the Tech Lead and Product Management, ensuring user stories are well defined, prioritised, and ready for delivery.
  • Ensure user stories are well defined, refined, and meet agreed Definition of Ready and Definition of Done criteria prior to development and release.
  • Support definition of system and feature behaviour, including business rules, data requirements, and functional specifications, working closely with UX and Engineering teams.
  • Validate delivered features against agreed requirements, ensuring functionality aligns to defined acceptance criteria.
  • Support business User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating that delivered features meet agreed business, compliance, and product acceptance criteria prior to release.
  • Provide structured feedback on completed work and ensure issues are resolved before sign-off.
  • Support the Product Management team by ensuring delivery work is aligned to agreed priorities and the Player Account roadmap.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Compliance, Customer Operations, and Fraud & Finance to support alignment and delivery of prioritised work.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication between Product Management and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Support roadmap and release planning with Tech lead and SPM for Player Account development, including dependency mapping and coordination across teams.
  • Support Release Manager (RTE or equivalent) to plan and map features to delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with Product Management priorities.
  • Ensuring reporting requirements are defined and implemented.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of product communications (e.g. roadmaps, release updates, and feature documentation) to ensure alignment across the business.
