Java Developer - Mid Level
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and integrations within a cross-functional team. You will work across a modern technology stack to contribute to the gradual modernisation of an established, large-scale codebase through safe and well-scoped changes. The position requires close collaboration with developers, QA engineers, and Product Owners throughout the full development lifecycle, while participating in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and integrations as part of a cross-functional team.
- Work across a modern, broad technology stack: Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, MongoDB, MySQL.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and Product Owners throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Contribute to gradual modernisation of an established, large-scale codebase through safe, well-scoped changes.
- Participate in code reviews and help uphold engineering standards within the team.
- 3–5 years of professional Java development experience (required).
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot and RESTful service design (required).
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (required).
- Exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB) (nice-to-have).
- Comfortable working in an Agile team environment with daily collaboration across functions (required).
- Eager to learn, communicative, sharing knowledge, and grow as an engineer (required).
- Strong written and spoken English (required).
