Senior Manager, Consumer and Competitor Insights

Description

This Group-level role plays a key part in bringing the voice of the consumer into decision-making across marketing, product, proposition, and strategy. With a strong focus on the online casino market, you’ll turn customer behaviors, needs, and attitudes into clear, actionable insights that shape stronger propositions and smarter business decisions. You’ll lead both qualitative and quantitative research programs, building a deep understanding of players, markets, and competitors. Alongside external insights, you’ll also contribute to selected internal research initiatives, including staff engagement work in partnership with HR, supporting a broader, long-term insight agenda. Your insights won’t sit on a shelf - they’ll drive real decisions, shape strategy, and help us stay one step ahead of our players and competitors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead consumer insight across the Group, developing and delivering research programs that bring the voice of the player into decisions across marketing, product, and strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape key business questions into clear research objectives.
  • Design and manage qualitative and quantitative research across areas such as brand, audience needs, propositions, user experience, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer behavior, identifying key drivers of acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty, as well as unmet needs and growth opportunities.
  • Translate insights into actionable, business-ready recommendations and present clear, compelling narratives to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive a customer-first mindset, ensuring insights are embedded in decision-making across proposition development, go-to-market planning, and customer experience.
  • Deliver competitor and market insight by tracking trends, analyzing propositions and customer journeys, and identifying opportunities for differentiation.
  • Establish and run ongoing insight programs to monitor changes in customer attitudes, market dynamics, and engagement over time.
  • Manage research partners and tools, ensuring high-quality delivery from brief to insight, and improving access to insights across the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives and key business decisions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or a related analytical field. Experience in online casino, gaming, or similar fast-paced consumer industries is an advantage.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research, with the ability to design, interpret, and translate findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience using tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or survey platforms to synthesize multiple data sources into clear insights and a clear point of view.
  • Good understanding of competitor analysis and market dynamics, with a consistent focus on the consumer perspective.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders using clear and engaging presentation tools.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and curious mindset, comfortable working across teams, functions, and markets.
  • Fluency in verbal and written communication in English is essential, as it's our primary means of interaction.
