As our Group Reporting Manager, you’ll play a key part in supporting the Director Group Reporting in managing the Group’s financial reporting requirements, focusing on statutory consolidation reporting. Your drive and ideas will help us move faster, improve smarter, and stay ahead of the game.

Responsibilities
  • Review of Group consolidated financial statements, including annual financial statements, interim and year-end reporting, and related disclosures.
  • Review consolidation journals and adjustments in compliance with IFRS and SEC requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting deliverables.
  • Conduct detailed analytical reviews of consolidated financial results, identifying trends, variances, and key insights.
  • Provide clear and actionable financial analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Group Reporting across business units, ensuring alignment on deliverables and deadlines.
  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS, SEC regulations, and other applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Monitor and interpret new and evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory changes across the Group.
  • Maintain and update Group accounting policies to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to business units and finance teams.
  • Ensure effective design and execution of SOX controls within the consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting systems and consolidation tools.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of reporting systems and controls on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage user access controls to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and system security.
  • Support dimension mapping and approve system changes in line with reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure accurate and complete data submission for consolidation.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Analyse data trends to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Own the end-to-end data intake, validation, and sign-off processes for Group Reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains within reporting cycles.
  • Optimise the use of financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Document and maintain standardised reporting processes and methodologies.
  • Act as a key finance representative on cross-functional and strategic projects.
  • Apply IFRS expertise and Group policies within project environments.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business units to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Provide training and guidance on reporting processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Support the development and capability uplift of finance teams across the Group.
  • Develop and implement training programs on accounting policies and disclosure.
  • Lead workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives across finance teams.
  • Create user-friendly guidance, tools, and reference materials.
  • Mentor and manage junior team members and specialists.
Requirements
  • CA(SA) or equivalent accounting qualification (required).
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ post articles experience and experience in group consolidations and reporting, with experience supporting senior management (required).
  • Strong understanding of the consolidation processes and proven track record, including intercompany eliminations, and the application of consolidation standards is crucial (required).
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory frameworks (required).
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing consolidated financial statements (required).
  • Experience working with external auditors and managing audit processes (required).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity (required).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (required).
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals (required).
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope (required).
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations (required).
  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends (preferred).
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SOX Compliance, or compliance within a listed environment (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with business and financial software preferred (preferred).
  • MS Dynamics Nav/Business Central (preferred).
  • FloQast, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1/Cognos) and Workiva are a plus (preferred).
  • Leadership experience (preferred).
