Description

As a Manager Business Intelligence Reporting, you will be supporting the delivery and execution of the Development portfolio within the Finance BI Reporting Team. Your role will involve innovating, automating, enhancing, and simplifying processes to provide users with faster and more accurate results, as close to real-time as possible, enabling the company to stay ahead of the game.

This position requires a strong leader who can manage a team, engage with stakeholders, and ensure adherence to critical processes and controls. You will be instrumental in integrating data, designing data architectures, and developing robust reporting solutions to support financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team including recruitment, performance appraisals, allocation of duties and day‑to‑day leadership.
  • Engage with business stakeholders on a technical level to understand requirements and drive solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to change‑management processes and SOX controls across all team activities.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, the tech lead and DevOps to ensure full coverage and delivery of software product requirements.
  • Develop team capability on both business and technical fronts, supporting growth at individual and collective levels.
  • Create personalised career growth plans for each team member using the skills‑assessment framework.
  • Represent the team and take accountability for overall delivery and outcomes.
  • Integrate ERP and finance data into databases, TM1 cubes, and downstream reporting platforms to support financial reporting, planning and publishing of results.
  • Design, enhance and optimise data architectures, data models and data marts, aligned to the migration of some on‑prem systems to AWS, SQL Data Warehouse and ClickHouse.
  • Lead and contribute to end‑to‑end data migration initiatives, ensuring data quality, performance, auditability and business continuity.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards consuming data from SQL, TM1, and ClickHouse ensuring consistency and usability for Finance users.
  • Automate data extracts and controls required for SOX and audit compliance, with robust logging, monitoring and reconciliation.
  • Continuously analyse and improve data pipelines, reporting processes and performance across the BI estate.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners and Finance stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes within timelines and scope.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and support the uplift of data literacy within Finance.
Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience (18 months minimum) (required).
  • 3+ years’ experience in a BI, Data or SQL Developer role. (stored procedures, functions, automation of jobs, performance tuning and optimization, RDBMS, error handling and logging, incremental data loading, change tracking/cdc. etc.) (required).
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including data modelling, performance optimisation, automation, incremental loading and error handling (required).
  • Min 3 years’ experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)/ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) development and data integration across multiple source systems. (e.g. flat files, xml, etc.) (required).
  • Strong reporting and analytics capability using Power BI and Excel, including analytical dashboard development and data modelling and visualisations. (advance Exell skills) (required).
  • Ability to produce accurate technical estimates and design scalable solutions based on business requirements (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others and contribute to technical standards and best practice (required).
  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends (preferred).
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards (preferred).
  • Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies (preferred).
  • A relevant degree or diploma in IT or Finance (or equivalent relevant practical experience) (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in software development or quality assurance within a professional environment (preferred).
  • Experience as a finance accountant and/or in a finance operations role (preferred).
  • Experience engaging with finance stakeholders and supporting a financial business unit (preferred).
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms and architectures, including AWS and cloud‑based analytics solutions (e.g. Fabric, Synapse, Databricks) (preferred).
  • Exposure to high‑performance analytical databases, such as ClickHouse, and optimisation for large‑scale reporting workloads (preferred).
  • Experience integrating data via APIs and familiarity with event‑driven or asynchronous processing patterns (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ERP and finance systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and associated financial data structures (preferred).
  • Experience with OLAP and cube technologies (e.g. TM1, SSAS, Cognos) for multi‑dimensional analysis and planning (preferred).
  • Understanding of regulated environments, including audit, compliance and control considerations (preferred).
  • Exposure to online gaming and/or sports betting domains, including relevant regulatory requirements (preferred).
