Manager TM1

As a Manager TM1, you will be supporting the delivery of and execute the Development portfolio within the Finance TM1 Reporting Team, as well as innovate, automate, enhance and simplify processes which in turn allows users of the systems faster and more accurate results as close to real time as possible, for us to stay ahead of the game.

• Manage a team including recruitment, performance appraisals, allocation of duties and day‑to‑day leadership.
• Engage with business stakeholders on a technical level to understand requirements and drive solutions.
• Ensure adherence to change‑management processes and SOX controls across all team activities.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, the tech lead and DevOps to ensure full coverage and delivery of software product requirements.
• Develop team capability on both business and technical fronts, supporting growth at individual and collective levels.
• Create personalised career growth plans for each team member using the skills‑assessment framework.
• Represent the team and take accountability for overall delivery and outcomes.
• Integrate ERP and finance data into databases, TM1 cubes, and downstream reporting platforms to support financial reporting, planning and publishing of results.
• Design and build complex cubes, dimensions, and TurboIntegrator ETL processes for data integration.
• Write advanced TM1 Rules to develop complex financial logic and business calculations.
• Create reports using PAfE (Planning Analytics for Excel), PAW (Workspace), and TM1 Web.
• Lead IBM Planning Analytics on Cloud with AWS discovery and implementation.
• Lead and contribute to end‑to‑end data migration initiatives, ensuring data quality, performance, auditability and business continuity.
• Automate data extracts and controls required for SOX and audit compliance, with robust logging, monitoring and reconciliation.
• Continuously analyse and improve data pipelines, reporting processes and performance across the TM1 estate.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners and Finance stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes within timelines and scope.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and support the uplift of data literacy within Finance.

• 2 years+ leadership experience (required).
• A relevant degree or diploma in IT or Finance (or equivalent relevant practical experience) (required).
• Min 3 years of technical experience in Cognos TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics (required).
• Deep expertise in TM1 rules, feeders, and TurboIntegrator scripting (required).
• Experience with TM1py (Python library) to leverage REST APIs for cloud integrations (required).
• Strong skills in MDX and SQL (required).
• Understanding of cloud-specific environments, such as IBM SaaS or 3rd party cloud providers and experience in handling data integration from cloud sources (required).
• Familiarity with financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation (required).
• Ability to produce accurate technical estimates and design scalable solutions based on business requirements (required).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others and contribute to technical standards and best practice (required).
• In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends (nice-to-have).
• Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations (nice-to-have).
• Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards (nice-to-have).
• Hands-on experience in software development or quality assurance within a professional environment (nice-to-have).
• Experience as a finance accountant and/or in a finance operations role (nice-to-have).
• Experience engaging with finance stakeholders and supporting a financial business unit (nice-to-have).
• Strong understanding of financial principles (nice-to-have).
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and architectures, including AWS and cloud‑based analytics solutions (e.g. Fabric, Synapse, Databricks) (nice-to-have).
• Exposure to high‑performance analytical databases, such as ClickHouse, and optimisation for large‑scale reporting workloads (nice-to-have).
• Experience integrating data via APIs and familiarity with event‑driven or asynchronous processing patterns (nice-to-have).
• Knowledge of ERP and finance systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and associated financial data structures (nice-to-have).
• Understanding of regulated environments, including audit, compliance and control considerations (nice-to-have).
• Exposure to online gaming and/or sports betting domains, including relevant regulatory requirements (advantageous, but not essential) (nice-to-have).
• Some experience in structured project delivery, working within established project or programme frameworks (nice-to-have).
