Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the delivery of complex, high-impact projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximising value delivery. The role involves managing multiple cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and driving successful project outcomes within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale Agile projects across various teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project charters, roadmaps, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively managing dependencies.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with financial objectives.
- Track and report on project costs, variances, and financial performance metrics.
- Coach and mentor team members in Agile best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in delivery processes.
- Support cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and remove blockers to success.
- Act as a servant leader, empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product Managers to refine backlogs, prioritise work, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, build consensus, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Analyse project performance and leverage data-driven insights to improve Agile delivery.
- Drive initiatives for organisational Agile transformation and champion process optimisation.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- 5–8 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a strong emphasis on Agile delivery. (required)
- A relevant degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or an equivalent qualification. (required)
- Professional certifications such as CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified SAFe Agilist (SA), or PMI-ACP. (required)
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent. (required)
- Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional team collaboration. (required)
- Experience in risk management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. (required)
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams. (required)
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe). (required)
- A solid track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and budget. (required)
- Experience in leading digital transformation, IT or software development projects. (preferred)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. (preferred)
- Background in coaching or implementing Agile transformations in organisations. (preferred)
