Statistician Recruitment & Training Lead

As our Statistician Network Operations Lead in Sofia, you will lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of Genius Sports' global network of statisticians. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you will help ensure high-quality sports data delivery by driving compliance, improving processes, and supporting the development of a high-performing team. This is a leadership role with a strong focus on operational excellence, people development, and continuous improvement. You'll use data and insights to make informed decisions, manage risk, and help shape the future of our statistician network.

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management across the global statistician network.
• Manage and develop a team of analysts, providing coaching, direction, and support.
• Monitor data quality, performance trends, and compliance, taking action where needed.
• Act as an escalation point for statistician performance, training, onboarding, and client queries.
• Drive process improvements, risk management, and operational efficiency across the function.

• Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced operational environment (required).
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making (required).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills (required).
• Proven ability to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure (required).
• Strong coaching and people leadership capabilities (required).
• Excellent English and proficiency with Microsoft Office (required).
• Power BI is a plus (nice-to-have).
• Knowledge of football, basketball, volleyball, or other major sports (nice-to-have).
• Experience working with distributed or global workforces (nice-to-have).
• Experience with reporting and data visualisation tools (nice-to-have).
