SEO Specialist

Description

The SEO Specialist is a tactical and hands-on role, forming the foundation of the SEO team. This individual is responsible for executing the day-to-day SEO activities that directly impact organic visibility and traffic across specific websites or sections of a larger affiliate network. The role focuses on implementing the SEO strategy, conducting keyword research, optimizing content, performing audits, coordinating with link-building agencies and working on other link-building and digital PR activities and analyzing performance to ensure all content and technical elements are search-engine ready.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify new content opportunities and optimize existing pages for targeted queries.
  • Perform regular on-page SEO audits and implement updates to meta titles, descriptions, header tags, image alt text, content structure, and internal linking.
  • Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.
  • Collaborate with content teams and give directives to ensure SEO best practices are embedded in new articles, reviews, and pages.
  • Assist with technical SEO checks, including identifying and resolving crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and page speed issues.
  • Track keyword rankings and prepare regular reports on SEO performance for assigned websites or verticals.
  • Support outreach and link-building efforts by identifying potential opportunities and coordinating with relevant teams.
  • Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in SEO or digital marketing (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Moz, SEMrush Academy) are a plus.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in an affiliate or content-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with optimizing large volumes of content or managing SEO across multiple websites.
  • Experience working in performance-focused teams where organic traffic is a primary KPI.
  • iGaming or similarly regulated industry experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, and keyword tracking tools.
  • Competence with Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and basic Excel/Sheets for reporting.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or custom systems).
  • Understanding of on-page, technical, and off-page SEO fundamentals.
  • AI Proficiency & Automation: Proven expertise in advanced prompt engineering and using generative AI tools to enhance technical SEO practices, particularly in automating audits, optimizing for entity recognition, and streamlining data analysis for faster strategy execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when managing content, links, and website cluster structures.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently within deadlines.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated in the fast-moving SEO landscape.
  • Familiarity with iGaming terminology such as “free spins,” “no deposit bonus,” “cashback,” and “wagering requirements.”
  • Understanding of different iGaming verticals (e.g., casino, sportsbook, poker, bingo) and how SEO varies across them.
  • Awareness of compliance standards and restrictions when optimizing content for regulated markets.
