The Goal What you’ll be doing Develop new features and functionality for high transaction, large scale betting websites Participate in design and code reviews Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the software Design solutions that are modular, scalable, and portable Contribute to overall system architecture and design components to meet those goals Work on full stack, end to end solutions Collaborate with and learn from more experienced members of the team The Player What you’ll bring If you are the right Software Engineer for us, you will be able to demonstrate: A minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java Enterprise platforms, using UNIX / Linux Experience with Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA, Hibernate) Experience in developing distributed systems and understanding of concepts such as caching, interprocess communications and brokering Good communication skills, both written and spoken Working knowledge of microservices and distributed systems Ability to learn new technologies quickly Experience with TDD and / or BDD Nice to haves… Experience developing on Unix/Linux Web technologies and internet protocols (REST APIs, JSON, XML, HTTP, TCP/IP) Experience with Maven and automated testing frameworks Experience with 3rd party system integration Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) Experience with cloud providers, ideally AWS * Scripting skills: Bash, Perl, Python, and JavaScript What’s the Score?
